A device for laser therapy named Waterlase iPlus laser therapy at at Periodontal Surgical Arts in Austin, TXWe are the first and only periodontal office in central Texas to be certified to use the WaterLase iPlus laser; easily the most advanced dental laser in the world. After more than 20 years of clinical research, we know that specific wavelengths in this laser yield effective periodontal regeneration of tissues, removal of tartar, and bone growth. The WaterLase iPlus is safe for bone as well as soft tissue. The WaterLase combines water, air and laser energy for safe use on tissues in the mouth.

Since the laser continuously sprays out water, it keeps the tissues hydrated preventing heat and giving patients a virtually pain free experience with quicker healing! This laser can be used around implants, for frenectomy procedures, bone contouring, gum attachment procedures, crown lengthening (or gum lifting), and removal of infected, inflamed tissues. Because the laser energy emitted is below the threshold for pain, post-op discomfort is minimal.

For treating gum disease, it is a valuable adjunct to oral hygiene procedures that targets infected tissues in the pocket.

This enables us to treat a full range of hard and soft tissue applications. Its Quantum Square Pulse (QSP) technology allows for better performance with less discomfort. Additionally, patients that have been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea can benefit from Nightlase™. The airway can be opened via laser assisted non-ablative collagen contraction. A great adjunct to apnea treatment.
